Welcome to Modern Brewery Age, the oldest continuously-published U.S. beer industry trade magazine and newsletter.

 

Modern Brewery Age was founded soon after the Repeal of Prohibition, with the merger of two existing trade publications, Modern Brewery (formerly The Brewer’s Art) and Brewery Age (formerly Malt Age). Since 1938, Modern Brewery Age has served as a dedicated chronicle of the American beer industry.

 

Today, Modern Brewery Age includes three components:

 

--The Modern Brewery Age electronic newsletter: The newsletter is published weekly in .pdf format, providing industry decision-makers with an overview of the news, together with brief interviews and statistical information. Subscription Price is $95.

 

--The Modern Brewery Age magazine: In 2008, we’re beginning a new chapter, launching an alliance with BeerNet Communications, (publishers of Beer Business Daily) to jointly publish the Modern Brewery Age magazine. It will be offered quarterly as an electronic publication, and we plan to return to print with a show issue in September. Subscription Price is $125 (this price includes subscription to the weekly).

 

--The Modern Brewery Age Blue Book: Often considered the beer industry’s bible, the Blue Book is a directory of North American breweries, importers, equipment suppliers and wholesalers. The book also includes an exhaustive brand index, regulatory information and where-to-buy section. Since 2006, we have also offered a companion International Brewery Directory. The two books are sold as a set for $450. The books are also available in .pdf format on a CD. An Excel Version--containing contact information for breweries, wholesalers and importer--is available on CD for $1200.
